I've just the donate thing in order to download the tracks on the site but when i view the file name it comes up with a long number tag, ive tried searching the number in the site to see what the file name is but it comes up as not existing. I really could do with the file names. any ideas how i get them?

I did the same thing. I paid to $10 bucks to save time and now I'm back to downloading them one at a time because they put "Free-Loops.com-1178135649.wav" as the file name and you can't tell what's what once it's in your folder without playing each one. Kinda retarded.

I can understand you wanting to protect your content but there must be a better way. Them being separated into categorys does not help much. If I am looking for a boom sound I have to search over a thousand files of farts screams and burps.

Well i don't think theres really anything you can do for it. What you guys have done is a great offer in money wise but im not sure wether i want to spend hours searching through every single sound trying to find the right now.

It would work if you made the file name start with what the sound was then follow that with your web addy. (ie) loud_burp_Free-Loops.com lady_scream-Free-Loops.com etc etc...
That would be a lot of work to go back and rename them all. |

It is a security measure, i hope you understand.
We try to give the persons making donations the best we possibly can without putting ourselves at risk. Chickenbone... that sounds like an idea? We would just need a way to rename all the files. Let us think about that for a bit. It is a good idea. |

Just a heads up the samples are being recreated and should be up by tonight or tomorrow night.
The new format is somedescriptionhere free-loops.com.wav The description has been limited to 15characters and the spaces have been pulled out. This will protect our site and still give you the file description you need
